The funding available from Pro Helvetia Johannesburg is for the following kinds of projects:
Exchange- artist-in-residence exchange between Switzerland and Southern Africa in disciplines of visual arts (includes architecture), literature, music, theatre, dance and film
- presentation of Swiss films and attendance of film directors at festivals or related events in Southern Africa
- presentation of Swiss visual arts and literature in Southern Africa
- presentation of Southern African films and attendance of film directors at festivals and related events in Switzerland
- participation at conferences and workshops with themes relating to arts & culture in both directions
Performance- participation of Swiss individuals or groups at festivals or cultural events in Southern Africa.
Research- research in disciplines of visual arts (includes architecture), literature, music, theatre, dance and film for projects which have synergies with Pro Helvetia programmes.
